The Mental Health Peer Support Worker
- Provide Carers in the Katherine region with access to flexible support options. This includes assistance in their caring role and support to improve health and well-being through social and economic participation in the community.
- Engage directly with Carers over the telephone or face-to-face, assessing their eligibility for services and responding to their unique and diverse caring situations.
- Provide Peer Support including the provision of high quality, accessible and appropriate information, access to respite and support and referral to a range of support services. Peer Support is provided to Carers in both individual and group settings.
- Haved lived experience as a Mental Health Carer and relevant experience in the development and delivery of community based programs.
