Creative Ways to Care - Strategies for Carers of people living with Dementia

Changes in behaviours, abilities and interests are a common aspect of dementia.

What is Creative Ways to Care program about?

Is a group program tailored to people who support a person with depression. Family members and friends may find it increasingly difficult to know how to respond and relate to the person they care for.

The program covers a range of topics including:

  • Dementia, Behaviour and Activities
  • Reminiscence
  • Stimulating and Soothing the Senses
  • Music
  • Creative Activities

What are the benefits of the Creative Ways to Care?

Carers will be able to discover ways of using everyday activities to connect, have fun and share meaningful time with the person with dementia. They will also learn strategies, receive written information and resources and have the opportunity to receive support and inspiration from other carers.

Course Details: To be eligible you must be registered as a Carer with Carers NT
