Introduction to Mindfulness Course

Carers NT are facilitating a mindfulness course for September.

What is Mindfulness?

Mindfulness is about focusing your attention on the present.  When you are mindful, you observe your thoughts and feelings without judgement.  Instead of life, passing you by, it means living and fully experiencing the present moment.

What are the benefits of Mindfulness?

There is a significant research outlining mindfulness as an effective treatment in stress reduction; pain management; improving memory; increasing focus; improved self-care; enhanced coping strategies; improving mental health; reducing emotional reactivity, and relationship improvements.

Presenter

Toni Ryan has tertiary qualifications in Social Work and Counselling, with 20 years practical experience in the field.  Toni is the Practice Owner of Insight Professional Services.  Toni has significant training and experience in practicing mindfulness.
